The LUSEM research environment is characterised by an aspiration towards excellence and one of our basic goals is to pursue research on a high international level.
Research is carried on within strong and clearly defined research areas within each department as well as within a number of high profile areas and special research programmes co-ordinated by the Lund Institute of Economic Research - the LUSEM research division. The research programmes stretches over the disciplines within and outside the School and hence the institute provides important links between the School, the business community and other parts of Lund University. Research also takes place within various cross-disciplinary centres, e.g. CIRCLE and LUCHE.
The externally funded research projects are extensive and the activities within the Institute of Economic Research are totally funded by private grants.
Through an extensive international network, and an explicit endeavour to combine academic traditions with innovation, LUSEM reinforces its position as one of Scandinavia’s leading schools in economics and management.
