 der and intergenerational mobility in Norway\, 1900-1920Abstract: Drawing 
 on linked Norwegian census records from the early twentieth century\, this
  presentation introduces preliminary results on how occupational patterns 
 and intergenerational mobility differed between men and women. A high leve
 l of detail in censuses from 1900\, 1910 and 1920 makes it possible to lin
 k both men and women across censuses. Occupational patterns are found to v
 ary systematically by age and family background\, and intergenerational tr
 ansmission has clear gendered patterns. The presentation will also touch u
 pon how occupational trajectories and reported labor force participation i
 nteract with marriage\, and situate these patterns within the contemporane
 ous shifts in Norway's occupational structure.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;Jørgen Modals
