A course series consisting of two parts arranged by PwC and LUSEM Career Services.

Entering the labor market with a fresh business degree, no matter where you work, you will be expected to have a basic understanding of Information Technology, the information society and the shifting IT landscape. Companies nowadays all have ERP-systems (ERP = Enterprise Resource Planning) that uses new technology and services within Internet of Things and Fintech.
If you are not already familiar with this, this is your chance to better prepare yourself for your future career and become an even more attractive potential employee to companies and organisations.
PwC has together with the LUSEM Career Services put together a two-session training program where you as a business student will get the chance to learn how companies use IT in the fields of accounting and finance. You will gain valuable knowledge and hands-on tools and methods, combined with inspiration and advice in your future career.
If you complete both sessions you will be awarded a course certificate.

IT – all you need to know about the very basics
17 October 16:00-19:00, room EC3:206
The first part of this course series will cover the very basics in IT, the terminology – server, hosting, cloud, network, batch, patch etc. - what they all mean and how they are connected to each other. You will also conduct practical exercises involving collecting data from a server and utilizing it in Excel.
Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The second part of the course series is part lecture, part workshop. The lecture part will teach you more about AI and RPA - what it is, how they intermingle and what problems they can solve, whereas the workshop part will consist of a discussion around how we can use these technologies in new innovative ways to shape and impact the way we conduct business in the near future.
