This report is based on research on responsible internationalization and the work I have conducted at the Foundation for Internationalization of Higher Education and Research, STINT as well as with universities and research funders since 2018. Data collection has taken place through the collection of archival data (including research applications, newspaper articles, and policy documents), observations, interviews, and bibliometric analysis. Since 2018, a policy dialogue on responsible internationalization has also taken place between Swedish research funders, international research funders and between universities in Sweden and abroad.
